I've spent two and a half years embedded with an oilfield services company — on their sites, on their schedule, through every season they work in.

I built their social presence from near zero to more than 12 million views, 200,000 followers, and 3,000 job applications that came in directly through social media. That's the whole résumé, and it's the only one I'd want you to judge this on.

Here's what I haven't done. Nobody has run a Real Work Preview long enough to hand you a retention number, and the first full implementation is being built right now. If somebody shows you a churn improvement off twenty hires, what they're showing you is an inaccurate number based on too small a data set.

I'd rather be the first honest version of this than the fourth one that oversells it.

I take three clients at a time. That's a decision about how much work one person can do well, not a guess about the size of the market.

What I guarantee

If it doesn't show the real job, I reshoot it or you get your deposit back.

At the end of the Build, you and your supervisors watch it. If you don't think it represents the job as it actually is, I reshoot at my cost, or I refund the deposit. Your call, not mine.

I don't guarantee retention, churn reduction, application volume, or time-to-fill. Every one of those depends on your pay, your schedule, your supervisors, and your market, and not one of them is mine to change.

It's easy to promise you a number that depends on things happening inside your company instead of inside mine. I don't do that.

Next step

20 minutes on the phone.

I'll ask five questions about your worst-churning role. If I don't think a Real Work Preview will move the needle, I'll tell you and we're done.
